Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

Here’s what to expect after you submit your order for a Foundation Inspection with us:

  1. Scheduling the Inspection: We’ll coordinate with one of our Field Data Collectors in your area and confirm the date and time for the site inspection.
  2. On-Site Visit: The Field Data Collector will visit your property to gather key data and photographs for review by our licensed professional engineer (PE).
  3. Payment Processing: Once the inspection is completed, we’ll process payment for the service. (We will collect your credit card to keep on file to ensure there are no delays.)
  4. Engineer’s Findings: Our licensed PE will assess all the photos and data gathered from the site. If everything is up to code, we will email you the certification. If the home is not up to code, we will email you a remediation letter containing a clear list of exactly what you need to repair/install to satisfy the standards set by your lender.
  5. (If Needed) Re-assessment/Re-inspection: After remediation steps have been completed, please reach out to us to schedule a re-inspection or request a re-assessment from our engineer. This will cost between $315–$385 depending on the scope of the remediation work.

How much does it cost?

The cost for a foundation inspection starts at $575. An additional $35-60 fuel surcharge fee may apply to cover an FDC’s fuel costs if they are driving far or out of their way.

We’ll always confirm the exact amount with you before dispatching anyone, and your approval is required before we proceed.

All charges are processed at the point of service using the credit card you provide in this form.

How soon can I get my certification?

We’re usually able to schedule the inspection within 1–3 business days. After the field visit, the report is typically completed within 1–3 business days.

If the engineer determines that the property meets all requirements, the certification letter will be emailed promptly.

If not, we’ll issue a remediation letter outlining exactly what needs to be corrected to help you get everything in order. Once those changes are completed, you may request a re-inspection (additional fees may apply).

If you have a tight deadline, let us know — we’ll do our best to accommodate it (expedited fees may apply)
